Stage 2: Main tournament
The majority of spots in the tournament are allocated via a quota
system devised by the WPA. The spots are distributed as follows:


WPA Ranking : 8 spots
Qualifiers : 8
Local players : 4
AAPA : 1
APBU : 14
BCA : 7
CPB : 1
EPBF : 19
OPBA : 1
WPA / Org : 1

TOTAL ……. 64 players


Stage 1: All players in Stage 1 will play in a single double-
elimination qualifying tournament with at least the top eight
players qualifying for Stage 2.


Tournament Format, Stage 1:
Ten Ball, WPA Rules
Winner Breaks
Double elimination, race to 7
Entry Fee: $200


Tournament Format, Stage 2:
Ten Ball, WPA Rules
Winner Breaks
Double Elimination up to Final Four – Race to 9
Crossover Semifinals – Race to 9
Final – Race to 11


Prize Fund
Total Prize Money: $84,000


   












Sanction Fee:               
WPA        – 5%
BSCP        – 5%


Awarding of Prizes
Prizes will be awarded at an awards dinner
on Sunday, 31 May 2009.


Entry Fee
1. No entry fee for quota players in Stage 2
2. US$200 entry fee for participants in Stage 1.


Entry Registration for Stage 2
1. Each continental federation will inform WPA by March 31 if
they will fill their allocations.
2. Raya Sports should receive the players’ name list by April 15.
3. Unfilled allocations will go into qualifiers pool.



Entry Registration for Stage 1
1. Players must register online at www.rayasports.com by May 11.
2. Players can also register through their continental association,
which must transmit by fax or email their entry applications.

Visa
If invitation letter is needed for visa, please submit your personal
details (full name, passport number, etc.) to Raya Sports early.
Residents of ASEAN countries do not need a visa to visit the
Philippines.


Hotel Accommodations
1. All players in Stages 1 and 2 must take care of their own
accommodations as provided for by WPA rules.
2. Raya Sports will provide a list of hotels near the venue that
offer rooms at varied and discounted rates.
